Nacala Solar and Storage Project
WHN Solar is currently developing a solar photovoltaic plant of up to 100 megawatts (in increments of 20-40 MW) next to the Nacala International Airport, in the Province of Nampula, Mozambique. A key feature of the plant is an energy storage facility with up to 50 MW capacity.
The feasibility study for the projected is being funded by a grant awarded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). WHN Solar has selected HDR international to conduct the study and is developing the project with the support of Fieldstone Africa.
